L'assiette D'eguisheim

We thoroughly our lunch at L’assiette d’Eguisheim. My wife had the vegetarian plate and I had the chicken in a wine mushroom sauce. Both were excellently prepared and so flavorful. The chicken was cooked just right and so tender. The staff was very friendly and helped us much with their excellent English. A true find for great food in Alsace.

Wonderful restaurant! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and cosy, and the service was exceptional. Since the area is very full of tourists, we had honestly expected a lot less, but the waiting staff were so friendly and welcoming to lots of different cultures and did a brilliant job of working in a small and busy space. Everyone had plenty of time to enjoy their food, which was of great quality. Everything, even the simplest salad was obviously made with care and attention. Thank you to the team for giving us a perfect dining experience!

What a hidden gem! From the warm, welcoming service to the refined and beautifully balanced dishes — everything at L’Assiette was simply perfect. Each plate was elegant and full of flavour, made with love and attention to detail. The atmosphere is calm and classy, without being pretentious. I even treated myself to a Ricard as an aperitif — refreshing and absolutely fitting. This place is all about quality, care and charm. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates honest, creative cuisine.

Very nice restaurant in the heart of Eguisheim. Excellent local dishes, very good price and extremely pleasant atmosphere. Local staff are very helpful, polite and joyfully. The food is extremely tasty, mildly seasoned and the ingredients are all treated with respect. Great vegetables cooked gently that melt in your mouth. The choucrout is by far the best we had, and the vegetarian spetzels were like clouds flavored with truffles oil. Tart floumbe was also made to perfection. Everything was incroyable !! Food was spectacular and really friendly staffs members. I would definitely recommend it La crème brûlée me manque tellement

This was the best meal I've ever eaten. We debated about getting the 3 course menu, but decided to each get our own starter and main. It was so delicious we were in awe of the chef. I got the Zwiebelkuchen as a starter, but it could easily be a main if you are only a little hungry. Then I got the Fleischküchle with a mushroom cream sauce and Spätzle. It had a few vegetables and truffle oil as garnish. The truffle oil really took the sauce to the next level. Everything was cooked perfectly. They were the most melt-in-your-mouth delicious meatballs I've ever had! My husband got the foie gras as a starter, which he really enjoyed and said the blueberry-apple Marmelade was the perfect complement to the Pate. His main was the Cannibal, which had two raw meats. They were so well seasoned and also melt in your mouth tender. He loved every bite. It was worth every penny and we would happily go again! Sadly, we were far too full to get a dessert, but I can only imagine how tasty they must be if the starters and mains are any indication. Edited to add: I did want to note that the wait staff were not comfortable speaking English with us, and German was also not possible. One woman reinforced French whenever we spoke to her, which were helpful reminders. That said, we managed to order fine and really enjoyed ourselves.

An unforgettable dining experience! This was one of the best dinners we’ve ever had – every dish was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. (onion pie with green salad, meatballs with homemade potatoes, roasted vegetables, and a wonderful mushroom sauce.) Tasting these wonderful dishes was truly an unforgettable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, which made our visit even more special. We will definitely come back again. Thank you for such a memorable and delightful dinner!
